The Clinical Supervisor RN Bio Behavioral Psych Nights is a key leadership role at Phoenix Children's, responsible for coordinating shift operational flow and providing clinical leadership to ensure high-quality patient care. This position requires strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve departmental and organizational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership
- Coordinate daily clinical operational activities to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery.
- Manage patient throughput, balancing unit patient care activities with staffing levels and staff competencies.
- Monitor unit environment, ensuring staff has necessary resources and supplies to provide quality patient care.
- Clinical Leadership
- Provide clinical leadership and expertise to nursing and interdisciplinary team members.
- Develop and implement individualized patient-centered plans of care, ensuring high-quality and compassionate care.
- Collaborate with manager to lead and maintain a culture of learning, promoting staff development and retention.
- Performance Improvement
- Identify and lead department and organization performance improvement projects to enhance patient care delivery systems and staff satisfaction.
- Ensure timely completion and investigation of occurrence reports, proactively identifying patient safety risks and participating in risk avoidance strategies.
- Leadership and Collaboration
- Develop leadership skills among staff, including critical thinking, problem-solving, engagement, and career advancement.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professional team members to maintain effective communication channels and coordinate services to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Accountability and Compliance
- Take personal responsibility to adhere to departmental and organizational policies and procedures, compliance and regulatory agency requirements.
- Collaborate with leadership team to develop, review, and implement evidence-based policies and procedures to ensure departmental consistency and compliance with hospital standards and accrediting bodies.
