Position Overview

This role is dedicated to delivering exceptional Respiratory Care services to a diverse patient population, including neonates, children, adults, and seniors. The practitioner may be required to provide coverage across various healthcare facilities within the organization, ensuring consistent and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operate and manage both invasive and non-invasive ventilatory support systems.
2. Administer routine therapeutic interventions and modalities.
3. Conduct blood gas analyses and interpret results.
4. Implement advanced therapeutic techniques as necessary.
5. Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient care.
6. Oversee and manage departmental inventory and equipment maintenance.
7. Foster engagement and collaboration within the department.

Qualifications

Education: Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.

Experience: Previous experience in an acute care environment or completion of clinical rotations in acute care settings is mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in critical care.

Licensure/Certification:
1. National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialing as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is required for all new hires.
2. North Carolina State Licensure as a Respiratory Therapist is mandatory.
3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire and must be maintained.
4. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required upon hire and must be maintained.
5. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required for specific roles.
6. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is required for certain positions within the organization.

Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, with a full-time commitment of 36 hours per week, typically scheduled during night shifts. On-call duties may be required as part of the role.
