Job Title: Investigative Analyst

SGI Global, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Investigative Analyst to provide technical and programmatic support services for new and ongoing projects and activities for the Office of Inspector General's (OIG) Office of Investigations (OI).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research, analysis, and evaluation of information to assist and provide advice to OIG in ongoing investigations.
  • Develop complex investigative and analytic products and reports in furtherance of investigations into grant and contract fraud, false claims act violations, embezzlement, and other misconduct.
  • Evaluate information obtained from evidence, open source, social media, public records, and databases.
  • Utilize large data sets to conduct complex investigative and analytic research projects involving subject identification, link analysis, or intelligence data summarization and generating reports for OIG.
  • Briefing findings and recommendations orally and in writing to supervisors, OIG management officials, special agents, and other OI staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
  • Must be able to satisfy NSF background investigation requirements and receive an interim and final favorable fitness adjudicative determination by the NSF Personnel Security and Suitability team.
  • Mastery of and skill in applying generally accepted investigative principles, techniques, methods, and procedures applicable to an OIG investigative function.
  • Expert knowledge and experience conducting independent research and link analysis to establish possible criminal associations, detect trends, develop case-specific subject profiles, and visualize results of highly complex criminal investigations involving financial fraud, false statements and claims, and other acts affecting NSF programs, employees, grantees, and contractors.
