Position Overview

Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Shift: PRN/Saturdays

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for executing Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology examinations in compliance with established Protocols, Policies, and Procedures, while adhering to A.L.A.R.A. principles. This role includes conducting all necessary quality control assessments in alignment with manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards. Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and call-back is essential.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Compliance with all Licensure requirements.


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.


LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a Registered Nuclear Technologist with either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (Nuclear) ARRT (N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB-CNMT).


ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

  • Current ACLS/BLS Certification.
  • Comprehensive understanding of radiation safety protocols and the handling of radiopharmaceuticals necessary for conducting and processing Nuclear Medicine procedures.
