Surgical Technologist 2 - Full-Time Evenings

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist 2 to join its high-acuity, fast-paced, multispecialty operating room team. As Northern Virginia's only Level 1 Trauma facility, our diverse team and complex patient population make working in Tower OR exciting, with endless opportunities for professional and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic technique and ensuring a safe environment for patients.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order and readily available for use.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures, anticipating and responding to the needs of the surgeon and other team members.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, demonstrating empathy and compassion while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred.
  • 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist; registration via the Commonwealth of Virginia at time of hire.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C) certification preferred.
