Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the fire safety system, including regular inspections and documentation, is required. This encompasses extinguishers, fire pumps, and overall emergency preparedness.
  • Maintain comprehensive records for all major assets within the facility, ensuring compliance with safety testing and inspections.
  • Oversee the refrigeration system, ensuring proper inspections and documentation.
  • Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all facility-related assets.
  • Monitor and calibrate temperature and humidity levels throughout the facility, adhering to established standards.
  • Conduct and evaluate emergency response drills, providing feedback for improvement.
  • Maintain and update all facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including emergency response protocols.
  • Train management staff on their roles during emergencies, ensuring preparedness.
  • Develop procedures in collaboration with local fire departments and insurance representatives.
  • Ensure the overall cleanliness of the facility, including routine cleaning of offices, warehouses, and surrounding areas.
  • Implement Integrated Pest Management strategies through consistent efforts both inside and outside the facility.
  • Analyze inspection data trends and maintain open communication with management.
  • Manage site security, including security services, plans, and regular audits.
  • Oversee a significant portion of the annual budget, focusing on cost reduction and expense control.
  • Coordinate contractor schedules and project management, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints.
  • Responsible for purchasing necessary materials and tools.
  • Manage the Powered Industrial Truck Fleet, ensuring compliance with safety standards and reducing downtime.
  • Schedule and verify the completion of preventative maintenance tasks, maintaining accurate logs.
  • Ensure facility operations continue under adverse conditions, including severe weather.
  • Be available for on-call situations, responding swiftly to minimize potential losses.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary, maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Independently manage projects with minimal supervision.
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of essential parts.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a related field.
  • Proficient in electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, and machinery repairs.
  • Strong understanding of national standards relevant to facility management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a commitment to professionalism.
  • Attention to detail is essential, particularly in safety and record-keeping.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize various software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Physical capability to work at heights of up to 50 feet.
