Faculty Opportunity in Nursing Education
St. John's University (New York) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Clinical Health Professions, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
The successful candidate will teach clinical and didactic courses for a planned traditional 4-year baccalaureate nursing program, working collaboratively with nursing colleagues and colleagues from other disciplines.
Responsibilities include maintaining clinical practice competence, remaining actively involved in professional organizations, maintaining scholarship in their field, and actively seeking opportunities for and participating in faculty governance.
The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution and experience teaching baccalaureate nursing students.
Preference will be given to those with experience using instructional strategies for traditional, online instruction (hybrid etc.), simulation (high fidelity and virtual, etc.), and two years of teaching experience (didactic and clinical practice) with students in a college/university nursing program and evidence of continuous professional development.

Requirements:
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution
- Experience teaching baccalaureate nursing students
- Experience in academic leadership
- Preferrably a doctoral degree (PhD, EdD or DNP)
