Position Overview:
Ascendion is seeking experienced Insurance Coverage Attorneys to become part of our distinguished legal team. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, while candidates must reside in California and be prepared for occasional in-person engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized legal counsel on diverse insurance coverage matters, including commercial general liability, professional liability, and property and casualty insurance.
- Examine insurance contracts, formulate coverage opinions, and engage in coverage-related litigation.
- Advocate for clients in coverage disputes through mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings.
- Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs, and oversee all phases of the discovery process.
- Facilitate settlement negotiations and manage all stages of litigation.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law institution.
- Active membership in the California State Bar.
- A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex and high-stakes cases.
