Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist for our esteemed Speech Therapy Center Pllc. This role can be fulfilled on a part-time, full-time, or as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive abilities to determine the extent of patient impairments.
  • Analyze results from various speech and language evaluations, including cognitive and swallowing assessments.
  • Review diagnostic imaging results and other relevant medical information to inform treatment decisions.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans addressing speech, language, fluency, voice, or swallowing challenges.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding effective communication strategies and techniques.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records for evaluation, treatment updates, and discharge planning.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including paperwork coordination, lesson planning, and case management activities.
  • Create and facilitate individual or group activities aimed at improving speech, language, or swallowing skills.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and contribute to collaborative care planning.
  • Assist in the development and execution of individualized educational plans (IEPs) and participate in relevant team meetings.
  • Teach clients various communication techniques, such as sign language and lip reading, to enhance their communication abilities.
  • The organization reserves the right to modify duties as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Valid Florida Department of Health License.
  • ASHA certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of post-graduate experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with pediatric clients aged 0-3.
  • Experience with adult clients.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Enthusiastic, engaging, and compassionate demeanor.
  • Willingness to travel between various therapy settings.
  • Training opportunities available.
