Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

  • Process, monitor, and submit development draw requests for multiple projects, ensuring prompt vendor payments
  • Manage monthly financial closing, including the preparation of financial statement packages for various development projects
  • Guarantee the accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal guidelines
  • Generate monthly reports and budget updates as necessary
  • Track the receipt of lender and equity funding
  • Conduct bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Oversee monthly development accruals and provide precise cost data for development valuations
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Prepare audit and tax schedules as required

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant Role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Experience in preparing construction draws
  • Familiarity with real estate accounting software (e.g., RealPage, Yardi)
  • Highly organized with strong multitasking skills
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with construction payment applications
  • Proficient in general ledger functions and month-end/year-end closing processes
  • Strong aptitude for reconciling accounts, analyzing expenses, and preparing detailed reports

Compensation:
$65,000 - $85,000

5 days a week in office
