About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Water & Wastewater Construction Inspector to join our team at Herbert Rowland & Grubic. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of water and wastewater construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site observations of construction work to ensure compliance with contract documents and specifications.
  • Document and report any non-conformities or issues encountered during construction.
  • Conduct final inspections to verify that all work has been completed to the required standards.
  • Review and approve project schedules, shop drawing submittals, and schedules of values prepared by contractors.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed field observation reports, including photographs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in construction observation and administration for water and wastewater projects.
  • Experience in construction observation and/or management for storm water, site grading, paving, and highway projects.
  • Basic survey, grade, and cut sheet knowledge.
  • NICET certification desired.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Valid driver's license to travel to job sites and meetings.
  • Ability to work in the United States.
