Job Opportunity

The Nord Center is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to provide outpatient psychiatric services and treatment oversight for adult clients experiencing severe and persistent behavioral health disorders in a community mental health setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform psychiatric evaluations on new patients and incorporate medical treatment plans into the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Maintain necessary documentation within the EHR and participate in the rotating on-call schedule
  • Collaborate with Advanced Practice Nursing staff and conduct Peer Review activities as required
  • Attend Psychiatric, Clinical, and Agency meetings as needed
Requirements
  • Valid, unrestricted Medical License in the State of Ohio and DEA License
  • Board Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry preferred
  • Meet all requirements set forth by licensing and accrediting bodies, including ODMH, CARF, and the Lorain County MHARS
  • Basic computer skills and excellent documentation skills
  • Eligibility to be paneled by private insurers, Medicaid, and Medicare
  • Ability to effectively work in a multidisciplinary team environment
