Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Supervisor to join our team at Equiliem. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Leadership
    • Collaborate with the Center Nurse Executive to maintain adequate nursing coverage and ensure safe patient care.
    • Effectively utilize existing resources to minimize overtime and agency personnel.
    • Participate in staff recruitment, assessment, and development.
    • Assist with the Individual Performance Improvement Plan for staff whose performance does not meet center expectations.
  • Clinical Leadership
    • Work with the CNE to plan, organize, direct, and implement a comprehensive center-wide nursing program.
    • Provide nursing leadership to meet the goals of the Genesis organization and the individual center.
    • Ensure patient care assignments are consistent with staff competencies, scope of practice, and patient needs.
  • Quality Improvement
    • Support the CNE in employing a strong Quality Improvement process for the nursing department.
    • Ensure patients' Care Plans are implemented and periodically reviewed and modified as necessary.
    • Ensure patient accidents, incidents, adverse events, and grievances are fully documented, investigated, reported, and addressed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
  • A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience, with a minimum of two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing and one year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Maintains current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The employee must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and stand for long periods of time. The employee must also be able to work in a variety of environments, including but not limited to, patient care areas, administrative offices, and meeting rooms.
