Job Summary

The Host or Hostess is the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for a memorable stay. As a critical member of our front-of-house team, you'll be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring seamless guest interactions, and providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet and greet guests, offering a choice of seating and escorting them to their table, while presenting menus.
  • Maintain accurate records and make daily entries in the log book to facilitate communication between shifts and management.
  • Ensure the dining room is properly set up and maintained.
  • Coordinate reservations and special functions, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for our guests.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree is preferred.
  • Hotel experience is a plus.
  • Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to accurately prepare complex calculations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively handle internal and external customers.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the front office, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Proficiency in using a moderately complex computer system.
  • Ability to detect and respond to emergency situations.
  • Effective working relationships with colleagues, customers, and patrons.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
