Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Aerotek. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing timely repairs and maintenance on equipment to ensure production runs smoothly and meets customer service expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to monitor, schedule, and document all preventative and reactive repair work orders.
  • Prioritize maintenance work orders and work with supervision to ensure the program provides a proper schedule to maintain all critical equipment.
  • Use BMS system to ensure all HVAC & mechanical equipment is running at peak performance.
  • Maintain boilers and comply with inspection requirements.
  • Work on new projects, prepare areas for new processes and new equipment, and install new equipment.
  • Assist in the coordination of third-party contractor activities, including repairs, inspections, and scheduled maintenance.
  • Support and participate in Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices training, demonstrate teamwork and a customer-focused attitude.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical ability to work with motors, gear boxes, conveyors, etc.
  • Electrical experience using a wire diagram to troubleshoot a machine
  • Low and high voltage experience
  • Experience jumping into a control panel
  • Plumbing experience soldering pipe
  • Running PVC
  • Experience with pumps
  • Teamwork
  • Customer-focused attitude
