We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at Soliant. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating an inclusive learning environment for students with special needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs and goals of each student.
- Provide direct instruction in academic, social, and life skills areas, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, attendance, and other required documentation.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities to stay up-to-date on best practices in special education.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification in the state of North Carolina.
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities is preferred, but not required.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
