Job Summary

The Azure Engineer will play a critical role in assessing our IT infrastructure to plan and deploy our ongoing cloud migration. This role will oversee the migration process, design, maintain, and monitor the new system, as well as configure hybrid connectivity between on-site systems and the cloud environment.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical skills and leadership ability, with strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other members of the IT team.

Duties of the Position
  1. Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance, and security.
  2. Design, develop, and implement highly available, multi-region solutions within Microsoft Azure.
  3. Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements.
  4. Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions.
  5. Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions.
  6. Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging cloud-native tooling to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments.
  7. Develop and implement policy-driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud solutions are protected from data loss.
  8. Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and/or modernized.
  9. Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards.
  10. Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to address and resolve technical escalations.
  11. Ability to understand, speak (fluently), read, and write English and Spanish.
  12. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  13. Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  14. Effectively speak before groups of customers or employees.
  15. Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of the position.
  16. Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
  17. Travel as required.
  18. Provide coverage for other positions as requested.
  19. Ability to carry and lift boxes and/or other objects that may weigh between 10 and 25 pounds.
  20. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
