Patient Care Coordinator for Gastroenterology Specialists

At Allied Digestive Health, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care through our team of experienced healthcare professionals. We are currently seeking a skilled Registered Nurse Triage to join our dynamic organization.
About the Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented nurse to handle incoming patient calls, schedule appointments, and coordinate communications between patients and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians, NP's, and PA's to ensure seamless patient care. This is a full-time position with a competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all incoming sick patient phone calls for assigned providers.
- Make appointments, referrals, imaging studies, and lab requests.
- Prioritize authorizations for medications, imaging studies, and labs.
- Notify patients of results via email or phone call.
- Respond to patient portal messages.
- Log all procedures and act on orders, ensuring pathology reports are received.
- Manage prescription refills, reviewing charts and scheduling appointments as needed.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess a High School diploma or equivalent, be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, and hold current licensure as a registered nurse in New York. BCLS/ACLS certification is preferred, as well as prior experience in a medical office setting.
Benefits and Salary:
