As a skilled Advanced Practice Nurse, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients under the direction of a physician. You will follow established nursing standards, procedures, and practices, and provide patient care directions to nursing and other staff. You will evaluate outcomes of direct patient care and consult with other specialists as needed. You will adjust nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care, arrange for patients' ordered diagnostic and therapeutic services, and monitor and ensure accuracy of recording on patient medical records. You will also provide preventative health care services to long-term patients and arrange consultations and referrals. You will perform physical exams and may prescribe and recommend treatment and drugs.

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-Shoreline is a leading acute care medical facility in the region, offering a full range of diagnostic and surgical specialty services in cardiac, cancer, and stroke care. The hospital is a teaching facility, affiliated with the Texas A&M University System Health Science Center College of Medicine, and is accredited by the Joint Commission. The facility features a state-of-the-art Emergency Department, ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab, and surgical suites. The hospital is also home to the CHRISTUS Spohn Heart Network, which was recently recognized as one of the top 100 cardiovascular hospitals in the United States.
Requirements:
Advanced Nursing Degree required. Experience in specialty area and both clinical and management areas required. Demonstrated ability to problem solve and market services. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated customer, team, and interdepartmental orientation based on CQI principals. Current Texas State Advanced Practice Nurse license. CPR certification.
