Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the daily operations of the Pharmacy, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective pharmacy services.
- Supervise IV admixture services, ensuring compliance with all operational and regulatory standards.
- Develop and revise policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Continuously monitor workflow and implement strategies for ongoing improvement.
- Ensure workplace safety is maintained at all times.
- Organize and oversee operational functions to guarantee efficient and safe workflow.
- Manage drug diversion prevention initiatives and ensure adherence to established policies.
- Accountable for the safe operation of IV admixture services.
- Oversee pharmacy automation, including monitoring and process enhancement.
- Design and implement performance improvement initiatives focused on safety and compliance.
- Document corrective actions for performance issues and medication management events.
- Manage departmental scheduling to ensure optimal staffing levels.
- Supervise drug procurement, storage, inventory management, and dispensing processes.
- Participate in various committees and task forces, contributing valuable insights and recommendations.
- Coordinate training and educational programs for pharmacy staff.
- Evaluate and implement safe medication management practices.
- Maintain knowledge of basic staff duties to provide coverage as needed.
Doctorate Degree or a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a Doctorate Degree.
ExperienceExperience in hospital pharmacy operations, including project leadership and sterile IV compounding.
LicensureValid PA Pharmacist License required.
Required Skills- Strong analytical and collaborative skills.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
