Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join our team. As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for providing senior-level expertise in the area of Cyber Security. You will perform advanced engineering problem-solving in support of nuclear plant operations and be responsible for technical decisions associated with Cyber Security. You will support fleet initiatives and plant design modifications, testing, and problem-solving. You will ensure that all engineering products prepared or overseen are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Cyber Security Initiatives
    • Serve as a sub-team leader for fleet cyber security initiatives
    • Coordinate IT and site teams to implement and administer the NRC mandated cyber security program
    • Serve as primary contact for IT and site teams to implement and administer the FERC/NERC mandated cyber security program
  • Cyber Security Assessments
    • Perform Cyber assessments as required by the NRC/FERC/NERC cyber security programs
  • Support and Testing
    • Support the sites in testing and issue resolution associated with the cyber security programs
  • Technical Expertise
    • Maintain awareness of trends and issues in the area of technical expertise
    • Evaluate new technologies or technology opportunities and provide analysis of their potential impact to the business

Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering related discipline
  • Experience
    • 10 or more years of experience in IT or engineering with at least 3 years in cyber security activities
  • Skills
    • Advanced technical skills in engineering, IT, and cyber security
    • Previous project leadership experience
    • Nuclear related experience
    • Comprehensive understanding of change management techniques associated with new technology implementation
    • Demonstrate leadership ability
    • Strong judgment, excellent analytical ability, and consulting skills
    • Excellent communications skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of IT and engineering
