Job Title: Production Operator II

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Production Operator II to join our team in Red Lion, PA.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Production Operator II to set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and be able to monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate, test, and monitor assigned equipment according to established guidelines.
  • Observe and conduct operation of equipment and document maintenance needs.
  • Troubleshoot control panels, error lights, and messages to ensure proper equipment function.
  • Verify equipment data for reporting and support the installation of operating equipment.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2-4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Vocational/Technical Degree
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Clerical Skills
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds
  • Physical Stamina
  • Requires regular movement throughout the GD-OTS facilities
  • May need to stand for long periods of time
