Overview

We're seeking a part-time manufacturing assembler to join our team at Cook Medical. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on quality and productivity.



As a part-time manufacturing assembler, you'll be responsible for assembling and inspecting products, working with small parts, and operating production machines. You'll also be required to read and comprehend product specifications, manufacturing instructions, and drawings.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and inspect products to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Work with small parts, identifying components and performing tasks such as cutting, flaring, tipping, sideporting, gluing, and bonding
  • Operate production machines and use measuring instruments such as calipers and/or micrometers
  • Read and comprehend product specifications, manufacturing instructions, and drawings
  • Count and make simple arithmetic additions and subtractions
  • Complete quality work at accepted departmental production rates
  • Constantly inspect products for obvious non-conformances
  • Verify raw materials
  • Occasionally use magnifying devices
  • Work with chemicals such as adhesives, acetone, talcum powder, and isopropyl alcohol

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required


Physical Requirements:

  • Must meet the Visual Acuity Screening Requirements of 20/40 vision using both eyes with or without correction
  • Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent repetitive motion
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to grasp, carry, feel, or touch; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; communicate
  • Proper attire and personal protective equipment required within Controlled Manufacturing Areas
  • Moderate exposure to noise level in the work environment
