OBJECTIVE: The role of a Cleaner is essential in upholding the cleanliness and organization of residential facilities, thereby ensuring a safe and pleasant atmosphere for both residents and staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Duties:
- Execute regular cleaning operations including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
- Assess rooms to confirm they align with cleanliness benchmarks.
- Maintain and service cleaning apparatus, reporting any malfunctions.
- Oversee and replenish cleaning materials as required.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols.
- Sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces.
- Manage laundry tasks, including washing, drying, and folding garments.
- Prepare beds and replace linens.
- Utilize cleaning tools effectively.
- Notify about maintenance concerns.
- Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory duties.
QUALIFICATION CRITERIA
Educational Background: High School Diploma.
- Minimum of 1 year in housekeeping roles.
- Experience in customer service is advantageous.
- Capability to operate cleaning devices and chemicals.
Additional Skills and Training:
- Familiarity with cleaning and sanitization methods.
- Preferred proficiency in Spanish.
- Effective communication and organizational abilities.
- Capacity to adhere to detailed guidelines.
- Experience with both hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Experience with cleaning machinery and project management.
INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS
Limited interaction with program management and direct care personnel.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Combination of office and on-site responsibilities, including evening and weekend shifts. Requires physical endurance and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
