  • Function as a member of the surgical team in the scrub role during procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field to ensure a safe and efficient operating environment.
  • Participate in maintaining the readiness of the Operating Room and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Demonstrate accountability for own professional development and maintain a high level of expertise in surgical technology.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
  • Ability to work well with internal and external customers, including patients of various age groups.
  • Fine motor skills and ability to wear a surgical mask and gloves.
  • Auditory skills to hear individuals whose speech may be muffled.
  • CPR certification and Certified Surgical Technologist certification from the NBSTSA within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and in difficult situations, including exposure to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including holidays, and take call as needed.
