Job Summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Bronx, New York.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory support to patients with cardiopulmonary abnormalities.
  • Administer and monitor diagnostic and therapeutic modalities within the service's scope of practice.
  • Initiate, monitor, and adjust parameters on patients receiving high-flow nasal cannula, non-invasive positive pressure ventilation, and invasive mechanical ventilation.
  • Administer medications with zero errors in dosage and document patient responses in medical records.
  • Show proficiency in aerosol drug administration methods, including metered dose inhalers and nebulizers.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA Respiratory Program or Certificate of completion from an AMA accredited program.
  • Current NYS Respiratory Therapist License.
  • CRT, RRT, or Registry Eligible by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Current BLS by the American Heart Association.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
  • Pediatric/Neonatal experience preferred.
