Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team at CHI St. Anthony Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and expertise in orthopedic surgery.

Responsibilities
  • Consult with patients to determine treatment options and develop personalized care plans.
  • Perform surgical procedures to repair or replace bones and joints, and reconnect nerves to improve musculoskeletal health.
  • Collaborate with other specialists to determine the best course of treatment for patients.
  • Record patient care and maintain detailed notes of appointments, including comments, tests, and treatments prescribed.
  • Administer general and local anesthetics as needed.
  • Prescribe medication to improve recovery and control pain after surgical procedures.
  • Refer patients to physical therapy or perform non-invasive procedures such as casting and splinting limbs.
  • Monitor ongoing progress and health of patients, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field.
  • Four to seven years of internship and residency training in orthopedic surgery.
  • Successful completion of the USMLE or COMLEX-USA.
  • Valid and active medical license issued by the State of Oregon Board of Medical Examiners.
  • Certification by The American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in orthopedic surgery and/or a subspecialty.
