- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications and educate clients and their support system
- Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans
- Educate staff, clients, and community partners about individual mental health needs
- Follow trauma-informed principles in all aspects of client care
- Master's or doctorate degree in nursing or nursing practice with psychiatric mental health specialization
- Registered Nurse license and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license in Washington
- ANCC certification as psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner
- Federal DEA registration
- First Aid and CPR certification
