Responsibilities
  • Conduct speech, language, and swallowing therapy evaluations and treatments in accordance with physician referrals.
  • Instruct and educate speech students, the community, and supervise rehab aides.
  • Complete assessments of patients' speech, language, and swallowing functions, as well as their psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: NYS Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • ASHA CCC's required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adjust to changes in work volumes.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move patients with assistance.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
