Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Paint Prep Specialist to join our team at Fred Martin Superstore. As a Paint Prep Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for painting in a safe and quality manner, with a focus on achieving a fit and finish that meets or exceeds the original factory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect vehicles as they enter the refinish area to ensure they have passed all previous inspections and standards.
  • Read and visually inspect work orders to check that all repairs listed are complete.
  • Apply prepared areas with specified primers or finish coatings.
  • Remove grease, dirt, or rust from vehicle surfaces in preparation for refinish application.
  • Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner.
  • Sand vehicles between coats of paint or primer to remove flaws and enhance adhesion for subsequent coats.
  • Buff and wax the finished paintwork.
