Position Summary:

The Lead Sales Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring a clean and organized shopping environment while prioritizing customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include assisting customers with their purchases, managing the cash register, restocking merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness. In the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager, the Lead Sales Associate will take on additional leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service; warmly greet and assist shoppers.
  • Manage cash register operations, process transactions, and handle customer inquiries.
  • Receive and unpack merchandise, restock shelves, and create appealing product displays.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, including taking out trash and cleaning floors and restrooms.
  • Support the implementation of merchandising plans.
  • Open and close the store as directed by management.
  • Perform additional tasks typically handled by management when required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to interpret planograms and merchandising guides.
  • Proficient in basic math and cash handling.
  • Experience in a supervisory role is preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Regularly required to stand and walk.
  • Frequent bending and lifting of merchandise.
  • Occasional exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 55 pounds occasionally.
