Position Summary
The Portable Sanitation Driver is tasked with servicing designated routes, ensuring the maintenance of portable restrooms, hand wash stations, and other equipment within the Portable Services Division. The driver is expected to represent the company safely and respectfully while managing customer accounts assigned throughout the day and maintaining regular communication with dispatchers and supervisors.

Reports to the Operations Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the vehicle safely in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Service portable restrooms, hand wash stations, and other company equipment to meet or exceed service standards.
- Complete assigned routes efficiently.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding any route changes or issues.
- Maintain and update route documentation.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Keep accurate driver log sheets.
- Engage professionally with both internal and external customers.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean and functioning properly.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to read and interpret maps.
- Capability to meet the physical demands of the job, including prolonged exertion.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with customers.
- Previous experience driving a CDL truck is preferred.
- Experience in the waste management industry is a plus.
- Additional skills may be required based on specific job location or department needs.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Minimum age requirement of 21 years.
- Compliance with all CDL/DOT requirements for safe driving, including proper licensing and medical certifications.
- Proficiency in English to communicate effectively and understand safety instructions.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and climb with weights up to 40 lbs.
- Capability to work in various weather conditions.
- Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
- Potential exposure to high traffic conditions while outside the vehicle.
