Job Summary

Methodist Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular ICU team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Cardiovascular ICU
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions
  • Monitor and report patient status to the healthcare team, including vital signs, lab results, and medication administration
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician
  • Perform various procedures, such as inserting IV lines, drawing blood, and performing ECGs
  • Provide education to patients and families on disease management, medication administration, and self-care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
  • Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse
