Job Overview

LHH Recruitment Solutions is a leading recruitment agency seeking a dedicated Logistics Safety Expert to join our client in Nashville, TN on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is essential for maintaining the safety and compliance of fleet operations, ensuring a secure and efficient working environment.

Salary: $24-$26 per hour

Fleet Operations Role
  • Instruct drivers on daily reporting tasks, including vehicle inspections, hours of service logs, incident documentation, and other necessary reports.
  • Keep comprehensive records of compliance with EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Compile and submit required documentation for Federal, State, and internal purposes.
  2. Perform regular inspections of facilities, focusing on safe work practices among all staff.
  3. Foster and always uphold a culture of safety.
  4. Offer administrative support to the Fleet Safety & Maintenance Manager.
  5. Guide and train location managers, establishing consistent training schedules and procedures.
  6. Conduct classroom training sessions for new hires on safety protocols.
  7. Understand and adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
  8. Travel to various facilities (minimum 25%) to conduct safety training for new hires.
Requirements

This position requires:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a safety-related role.
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience and training.
  • Preferred experience with OSHA and FMCSA regulations.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Commitment to following all company policies and procedures as outlined in the handbook and training manuals, as well as any updates or new guidelines.
