Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Group Facilitator to join our team at Our Substance Abuse Facility. As a Group Facilitator, you will play a vital role in planning and implementing weekly program groups that promote recovery and well-being for individuals struggling with substance abuse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement engaging group activities, exercises, and creative therapies to promote client participation and progress.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress, including progress notes and activity documentation.
  • Cultural Competence: Demonstrate respect and understanding for the cultural and lifestyle diversity of clients and staff.
  • Supply Management: Ensure the safe and secure storage of recreation and therapy supplies.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A degree or registration/certification in a related field, with a minimum of two years of experience working with individuals struggling with mental illness and/or substance abuse.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Basic knowledge of referrals, both in and out of the program, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Certifications and Clearances: Possess a valid driver's license, CPR/First Aid certification, and undergo a criminal background clearance.
  • Health and Safety: Meet health screen requirements, provide proof of MMR vaccination or antibodies, and maintain current TB test results.
