MRI Technologist Job Summary

The MRI Technologist will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and completing necessary paperwork for each patient, including exam records, scheduling, physician orders, and department logs.
  • Transporting patients to and from their rooms and ER.
  • Maintaining equipment for mechanical safety.
  • Explaining procedures to reduce patient anxiety and obtain cooperation.
  • Positioning patients on examining tables and adjusting immobilization devices for optimal views of requested body areas.
  • Collaborating with the diagnostic imaging department to meet its needs.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited program for technologists.
  • Current licensure or permit in the State of Texas (TDH).
  • CT registry preferred, MRI registry required within six months of hire for eligible candidates.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a hospital-imaging department.
  • One year of experience in CT or MRI preferred.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Texas Orthopedic Hospital offers a competitive salary range estimated at $65,000 - $95,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
