MRI Technologist Job SummaryThe MRI Technologist will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and completing necessary paperwork for each patient, including exam records, scheduling, physician orders, and department logs.
- Transporting patients to and from their rooms and ER.
- Maintaining equipment for mechanical safety.
- Explaining procedures to reduce patient anxiety and obtain cooperation.
- Positioning patients on examining tables and adjusting immobilization devices for optimal views of requested body areas.
- Collaborating with the diagnostic imaging department to meet its needs.
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- A graduate degree from an accredited program for technologists.
- Current licensure or permit in the State of Texas (TDH).
- CT registry preferred, MRI registry required within six months of hire for eligible candidates.
- A minimum of two years' experience in a hospital-imaging department.
- One year of experience in CT or MRI preferred.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required.
Texas Orthopedic Hospital offers a competitive salary range estimated at $65,000 - $95,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
