Position Summary
The Senior GL Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of general ledger account balances and coding in compliance with GAAP. This position involves enhancing system and process controls, preparing necessary reports, assisting with external audit preparations, and serving as a vital resource for the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the month-end closing process, which includes journal entries and account reconciliations, while applying GAAP principles to ensure accurate reporting of GL balances.
- Prepare journal entries with the correct company code, GL account, department, location, and project cost coding, ensuring appropriate supporting documentation is provided.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in critical accounting areas, including cash reconciliation, intercompany accounting, and system testing and controls.
- Conduct reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, focusing on high-risk and critical accounts.
- Analyze month-end financials to confirm accurate coding by accounting staff and document any variations from previous months.
- Perform flux reviews of financials prior to month-end close and assist colleagues with their analyses.
- Collaborate with other GL accountants to address month-end review comments and research invoice and transaction treatments.
- Interface with various departments to educate and enforce accounting policies and procedures, providing necessary information and support.
- Work with related party companies on accounting matters and key responsibilities.
- Liaise with corporate banking partners regarding banking issues.
- Undertake special accounting projects as assigned.
- Participate in regular assessments of system and procedural efficiencies to maintain financial statement integrity.
- Execute additional duties as required.

Qualifications
- Comprehensive understanding of GAAP and accounting practices.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Willingness to mentor junior staff to foster their development.
- Preferred experience with Oracle systems and strong reconciliation skills.
- Ability to identify and enhance processes.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated, dedicated, and a strong team player with the initiative to manage projects from inception to completion.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in public or private accounting.

Physical Requirements
- Primarily sedentary with some walking, standing, and bending.
- Ability to communicate effectively via telephone.
- Close visual work on a computer terminal.
- Dexterity to operate required computer equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Capability to climb a ladder and work on elevated platforms.

Work Conditions
This position is expected to be remote for the foreseeable future, with occasional onsite requirements in a shared workspace.

Special Requirements
- Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license.
- This remote position requires a reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with remote work and personal mobile device usage.

NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. The base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $128,200. All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus, contingent upon individual and company performance.
