Job Title: Psychiatry Specialist

The Eskenazi Medical Group, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking an experienced Psychiatry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our mental health services.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct clinical service activities, including diagnosing mental illness/addictions and initiating treatment plans.
  • Provide consultation, perform medical screening and evaluations, and evaluate patient needs for seclusion and/or restraints.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and participate in performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize clinical outcomes.

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of a psychiatry residency program.
  • Ongoing CME activity necessary to maintain board certification and subspecialty status.
  • Knowledge of DSM criteria, risk assessments, and legal procedures related to emergency detentions and commitments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
Location: Indianapolis, IN.
