Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Master Electrician to join our dynamic construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial structures.
Key Responsibilities- Electrical System Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes.
- Electrical System Inspection: Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with NEC codes.
- Electrical System Planning: Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Team Leadership: Direct or train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Preliminary Work Estimates: Provide preliminary sketches or cost estimates for materials and services.
- Physical Demands: Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit or moving or lifting heavy objects.
- Compliance: Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Experience: Proven experience as an electrician with a minimum of 2 years in the field.
- Certifications: Completion of electrician apprenticeship, valid Journeyman Electrician license, and preferably Master Electrician certification.
- Skills: Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, legal regulations, and guidelines.
- Critical Thinking: Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Physical Condition: Exceptional physical condition and ability to work in extreme weather and on-site.
