Purpose and Scope

As a Clinical Pharmacist at VHC Health, you will be responsible for the safe and accurate distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages. You will develop and implement a plan of care utilizing disease management guidelines and standards, providing pharmaceutical care and advanced clinical support to the nursing staff, physicians, and patients.

This role requires a strong understanding of state and federal laws, JCAHO standards, and hospital/departmental policies and procedures. You will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

Education and Experience

A graduate degree from an accredited pharmacy program is required. A Doctorate in Pharmacy or Pharmacy Residency is preferred. You must have at least two years of experience in a hospital clinic setting, with a strong background in pharmaceutical care and clinical support.

Certification and Licensure

You must be licensed as a Pharmacist by the Virginia Department of Health Professions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmaceutical care.
