Structural Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at TLH Consulting Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building design and analysis, with experience in commercial and residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, including commercial and residential projects.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop and implement structural design solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct site investigations and field measurements to inform design decisions.
- Prepare construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
- Review and approve construction documents, including columns reinforcement, shear walls reinforcement, slab reinforcement, foundation reinforcement, elevator system, and concrete mix designs shop drawings.
- Assist with site inspections, including concrete pours, formwork placement, foundation layout, slab and column reinforcement placement.
- Attend coordination meetings with project teams, including owners, developers, architects, electrical engineers, and mechanical engineers.
- Manage and modify project submissions, including foundations, bulletins, and issue for construction.
- Perform structural design of buildings and prepare related engineering calculations and structural modeling.
- Provide technical guidance to graduate and junior engineers.
- Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Prepare technical specification sections.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in structural engineering.
- Professional licensure is desired but not required.
- Experience using AutoCad & Revit software.
- Analysis software experience with Tekla, Tedds, RAM, and RISA 3D is a plus.
- Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, and other industry relevant design code and standards.
- Knowledge and application of Building Code.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite software.
