Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at TLH Consulting Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building design and analysis, with experience in commercial and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, including commercial and residential projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and implement structural design solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct site investigations and field measurements to inform design decisions.
  • Prepare construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
  • Review and approve construction documents, including columns reinforcement, shear walls reinforcement, slab reinforcement, foundation reinforcement, elevator system, and concrete mix designs shop drawings.
  • Assist with site inspections, including concrete pours, formwork placement, foundation layout, slab and column reinforcement placement.
  • Attend coordination meetings with project teams, including owners, developers, architects, electrical engineers, and mechanical engineers.
  • Manage and modify project submissions, including foundations, bulletins, and issue for construction.
  • Perform structural design of buildings and prepare related engineering calculations and structural modeling.
  • Provide technical guidance to graduate and junior engineers.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
  • Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
  • Prepare technical specification sections.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in structural engineering.
  • Professional licensure is desired but not required.
  • Experience using AutoCad & Revit software.
  • Analysis software experience with Tekla, Tedds, RAM, and RISA 3D is a plus.
  • Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, and other industry relevant design code and standards.
  • Knowledge and application of Building Code.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite software.
