Job Summary

A Travel Nurse for Emergency Services is a registered nurse who provides direct patient care in an emergency department setting. This role requires a high level of skill and expertise in patient care, with a focus on delivering holistic care to individuals across the lifespan and care continuum.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize current evidence-based practice knowledge, the nursing process, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to provide patient care.
  • Collaborate and communicate with the interprofessional team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accountability for own practice, delegated care, and the coordination of care delivery.
  • Foster and contribute to the establishment of an environment that supports and maintains respect, trust, and dignity.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge in nursing practice and assume responsibility for the professional development of self, other nursing staff, and students.

As a Travel Nurse for Emergency Services, you will have the opportunity to work with a program director who is also a nurse, and be part of creating the foundation for the CommonSpirit Travel Program. Benefits
  • Competitive compensation, including base pay, benefits, and travel/housing stipend options.
  • Eligible for special pay in addition to base pay (shift differential, overtime, extra shift, etc.).
  • Full-time positions with days, nights, and weekend shifts available.
  • 13-week assignments (may be extended based on business need).
  • 36 hours per week guaranteed.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a registered nurse in an emergency services environment.
  • ADN or Nursing Diploma required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse from the state(s) in which he or she will be practicing. Compact state licensure required.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
