Tact Staff is currently seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Med Surg / Telemetry for an exciting travel nursing opportunity.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements- Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry
- Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Start Date: Immediate
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Shift Length: 12 hours
- Employment Type: Travel
The RN will report to the Unit Director/Manager, overseeing the nursing practice within the unit during the assigned shift. In the absence of the Unit Director/Manager, the RN will be accountable to the Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Clinical Coordinator on duty. The role involves delivering professional nursing care based on contemporary nursing knowledge through the nursing process, which encompasses:
- Assessment of patient needs
- Development of a tailored care plan
- Implementation of nursing interventions
- Evaluation of care effectiveness
Essential Skills and Attributes:
- Ability to function effectively as a team member and act as a liaison between patients and staff.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Capacity to maintain composure and professionalism in challenging situations.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current RN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, renewed every two years.
- Updated NIHSS certification.
