Position Overview: The AW139 Aircraft Maintenance Specialist is responsible for delivering comprehensive on-site maintenance and functional check flight operations, ensuring optimal performance of rotary wing aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct aviation maintenance and repair operations, providing essential support for aircraft testing and associated systems.
- Analyze and interpret technical manuals, publications, and directives to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the launch and recovery processes for aircraft flights, including unscheduled maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues effectively.
- Maintain meticulous documentation, including flight records for pilots and crew members, HAZMAT compliance, safety protocols, and scheduling.
- Adhere to all regulatory, customer, and contractual obligations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Possession of a valid FAA A&P license is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with AW aircraft is preferred; candidates with at least 3 years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Commitment to a drug-free workplace, including post-offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.
- Ability to provide personal tools necessary for the job.
Physical Requirements:
To successfully fulfill the responsibilities of this role, candidates must be capable of performing essential duties, which include:
- Walking and standing on various surfaces for extended periods.
- Climbing stairs, ramps, and ladders, and working at heights with appropriate safety measures.
- Crouching, crawling, and using manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds and transporting items over short distances.
- Reading gauges and identifying small components accurately.
- Communicating effectively and discerning sounds.
- Distinguishing colors and assessing three-dimensional depth.
- Operating machinery, vehicles, and ground support equipment as required.
