In this role, you will assist our clients in developing sustainable strategies to enhance their interpersonal connections.
Your responsibilities will include providing crisis intervention, diagnosing psychological issues, recognizing detrimental patterns that require modification, fostering improved communication, and addressing maladaptive behaviors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in the formulation, execution, and evaluation of tailored therapeutic programs for each client.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records in compliance with facility and licensing regulations.
- Implement solution-focused therapy techniques to deliver mental health services to families, couples, individuals, and children.
- Collaborate with community organizations and participate in weekly clinical team discussions.
- Conduct intake assessments and needs evaluations for individuals, significant others, and family members through various methods including testing and interviews.
- Perform clinical assessments to devise suitable treatment plans for clients.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions addressing a range of behavioral health issues.
- Work alongside interdisciplinary teams to establish and execute treatment objectives and interventions.
- Gather and analyze data to track client progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Employ evidence-based practices in clinical counseling and therapeutic techniques.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with special educational needs.
- Deliver behavioral therapy and interventions aimed at promoting positive behavioral changes.
- Engage in research and stay informed on the latest advancements in mental health counseling.
- Collaborate with pediatricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for pediatric clients.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Current CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications.
- 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting providing counseling to couples and families.
- Valid and unrestricted state license as an LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) or equivalent.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent, along with a bachelor’s degree in counseling or social work; a master’s degree is preferred.
Experience:
- Master's degree in Marital and Family Therapy, Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- State licensure or certification as a Clinical Therapist.
- Experience working with couples and families is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of family systems approaches and interventions.
- Experience with addiction and trauma-informed care is advantageous.
Compensation: $55,000 - $90,000 annually.
