Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Chemistry

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Chemistry to join our team at the University of Florida. The successful candidate will work on a project focused on computational modeling and AI-driven discovery for materials and molecules, led by Dr. Mingjie Liu in the Department of Chemistry.
The position involves conducting high-throughput computational simulations using MLIP, DFT, TD-DFT, QM/MM, Kinetic Monte Carlo, and MD to study material and molecular properties. The candidate will also develop and implement advanced machine learning and deep learning models to predict new materials and molecule properties.
Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to design experiments and analyze data is essential. The successful candidate will publish scientific papers and present findings at international conferences.
This is a one-year position, with the possibility of renewal for up to one year, contingent upon strong performance and conduct and availability of funds.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:
- PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong background in molecular dynamics, machine learning, and deep learning applied to scientific problems.
- Experience in computational chemistry, materials science, computational electrochemistry, or polymer science.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
