Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the repair and overhaul of equipment, including refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems.
  • Provide service to customers by repairing and overhauling equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform general repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, including troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
  • Provide preventative maintenance activities for customers, ensuring their equipment operates at peak performance.
  • Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and/or mechanical skills, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate and legible corporate and personal records of work history, including job tickets and work orders.
  • Provide department support by processing job tickets and work orders, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Perform work on minor construction and remodeling projects, demonstrating adaptability and versatility.
  • Drive company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to company policies and regulations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • EPA certification necessary.
  • Certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school a plus.
  • Good driving record and knowledge of commercial refrigeration, ice machines, gas furnaces, and electrical components.
  • Working knowledge of single systems, parallel rack systems, display cases, and walk-in boxes.
  • 5-7 years' experience in commercial refrigeration, HVAC, ice machines, gas furnace, and electrical required.
  • Experience working on refrigeration equipment in convenience and supermarket stores.
  • Ability to efficiently troubleshoot and repair computer controls and commercial refrigeration equipment.
  • Good mechanical aptitude skills and ability to lift up to 60 lbs. with no assistance.
  • Good communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with customers, coworkers, and management.
