Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled LifeSet Specialist to join our team at Youth Villages. As a LifeSet Specialist, you will work with 17-21 year old clients to provide them with the knowledge and skills to become self-sufficient.

Responsibilities

As a LifeSet Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying a maximum caseload of 8-10 young adults
  • Meeting with clients a minimum of one time per week, increasing and decreasing as directed by the Clinical Supervisor
  • Providing on-call crisis support to clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Implementing suggestions of interventions provided by the supervisor and/or consultant in a timely manner
  • Participating in weekly supervision exercises to ensure the appropriate conceptualization and implementation of treatment
  • Providing all therapeutic services in accordance with Youth Villages' Mission and Values and LifeSet Model Principles
  • Conducting ongoing assessment of clients' needs from a strength-focused, solution-based perspective
  • Engaging and aligning with clients and their support system to elicit full participation in treatment

Additional Information

The schedule for this position is flexible and non-traditional, based around the availability of clients. A valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance are required. Community Based staff will be reimbursed for applicable mileage.

Salary

$55,000 per year, based on education and clinical license

Qualifications

Requirements

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a social services discipline is required. Degrees that can be considered include: social work, counseling, drug and alcohol education or counseling, psychology, criminal justice, guidance counseling, or marriage and family therapy. One year of related experience in counseling and/or case management is preferred.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential, as well as excellent written, verbal, and oral skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and maintain a flexible schedule are also required.
