Bridgeway Community Health is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our growing Medically Managed Withdrawal (Detox) treatment team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides nursing care to individuals in a medically managed withdrawal setting, promoting health, preventing disease, and treating illness.
  • Operates according to the Oregon State Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act.
  • Conducts reviews of client admits, gathers additional information, and reports errors or inconsistent documentation to the nursing supervisor.
  • Administers medications and performs treatments and procedures under the direction of a physician assistant or physician.
  • Completes accurate and thorough medical documentation, including clients' medical charts, medication records, and required state or department database entry.
  • Conducts nursing assessments on all inpatient clients, evaluates for side effects and potential interactions, and adheres to accepted medical practices and medication management per OAR/ORS.
  • Maintains records of nursing services, including the recording of statistics and compilation of requested reports.

Requirements:

  • Requires an associate degree or higher in nursing and a current unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Oregon at the time of appointment.
  • Experience working with people suffering from the disease of addiction is preferred.
