Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide high-quality speech and language services to students in Jefferson City, Tennessee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address each student's unique needs.
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students with speech and language impairments.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure student progress and well-being.
  • Maintain detailed records of student evaluations, progress, and therapy sessions.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and ongoing professional development.
  • Provide guidance and training to school staff and parents on strategies to support speech and language development.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Valid Tennessee state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Tennessee Department of Education certification as an Educational Specialist Speech and Language Pathologist.
  • Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform job duties that may involve lifting, bending, sitting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Capability to manage the physical demands of working with young children and students with special needs.
